What is MIET?

Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) is a private institution which was established in the year 1997 at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Institution is affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University and Gautam Buddha Nagar. The institute provides courses for four year Bachelor Degree which includes Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Electronics & communication Engineering and many more. It also offers education for B.Pharm, MBA, M.Tech, MCA, etc. The institute has occupied 14.04 acre of area which includes a Big library, a computer centre, hostels, etc. The Library consists of all educational books for different courses such as engineering, pharmacy, social sciences, computer applications, technology, applied sciences and business administration. Students can take the advantage of around 66,000 versions of several books and also if they want they can do self study in the Reading room where 600 students can easily accommodate. Moving to their computer center, it is a huge room which includes 735 computers equally distributed in 15 labs. The institute allows students to use internet through the speed of 10 MB/second. The hostels of the institution are available for both Boys and Girls and having 850 seats for boys and 250 seats for girls. The institution has won several awards and recognitions. In 2008 and 2009, the college was honoured with a star performer award in UPTU academic excellence program.
