History
Aer Lingus Group Plc Was established on 15th of April 1936 and started operations on 27th of May 1936 and the first chairman of the airline was Sean O'huadhaigh. The first airline service of Aer Lingus was started between Baldonnel Airfield in Dublin and Bristol Airport, United Kingdom and the first plane was six-seater plane. The first General Manager of the airline was Dr. J. F. Dempsey and was appointed as
the General Manager of the airline in the year 1937.

The operating bases of the Aer Lingus are located in Belfast-city, Cork, London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow, Shannon and Dublin. The
Cargo service is also offered by the Airline on all routes from Dublin and Shannon to United States. It also offers the cargo services on some routes of United Kingdom and most routes of Europe. In addition to the head office, the airline has also some foreign offices located in various parts of United States and the airline has codeshare agreements with other airlines.
