What is Sri Venkateswara College Delhi?

Sri Venkateswara College is a public, co-educational college located in Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, India. It was established on August 20, 1961 by Durgabai Deshmukh and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. The college offers undergraduate courses in Humanities, Science and Commerce and also offers various post-graduate programs, vocational and diploma courses. It is one of the best science colleges in India and more than three-thousand students are enrolled at the college. The College is owned by the Government and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Sri Venkateswara College is spread on more than fifteen acres of land and offers large number of facilities to the students. The facilities provided by the College include fully equipped and spacious lecture halls, Bioinformatics center established in the year 2006, fully automated and fully stocked main Library with huge collection of books, Journals and periodicals, Seventeen departmental Libraries, Laboratories, Auditorium with a seating capacity of more than eight-hundred seats, canteen and sports and recreational facilities. The College has a separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls equipped with all the facilities and is located within the campus and the hostel was established in the year 2008.
