Hamid Mir is a well known and famous news anchor, journalist and security analyst of Pakistan. He was born on 23 July 1966 in Lahore, Punjab. Hamid Mir is the recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Pakistan's second highest civil award. He holds a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in mass communications from the University of Punjab. Hamid Mir started his journalistic career when he joined the Daily Jang (Lahore) in 1987 assuming different roles viz sub-editor, reporter, feature writer and edition in charge. He has also been the editor of the Daily Pakistan and founding editor Daily Ausaf (Islamabad). Hamid Mir joined the Geo TV network in 2002 and has been since hosting the political talk show Capital talk, one of the famous political news channel shows in Pakistan. A dacatti wardat with family happened on GT road near siddiqui CNG station which is in sheikupura distt. By the grace of almighty Allah my wife and children remain safe, but they snatched all money and gold. Immediately it was informed @ 15 police came there and enter fir. But the situation for overseas personnel is very miserable in our own country. Is there any protection for us in our country. I do not know wht will b action of police now.
