Please advise what I need to do to claim Carer's Allowance? I have a frail elderly Mother who will be living with me late August or early September 2017. My Mother doesn't drive, only has vision in one eye and has had numerous falls resulting in broken bones. My husband and I are converting our double garage into a Granny Flat and will also need to include a shower as we have stairs to our bathroom which Mum will find too difficult to climb daily. My Mum's doctor has advised she does need a carer and will complete the forms for her once we receive them. I'm not sure of what steps to take and would appreciate your help as soon as possible. Thanking you Christine Baker .
