The Wolfgang Puck Company operations are fragmented into Three divisions named as Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, Wolfgang Puck Catering and Wolfgang Puck Worldwide, Inc.
Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group runs various dining restaurants in different locations of North America. Wolfgang Puck Catering provides personalized catering services and event organizing services at selected Wolfgang Puck restaurants which are specially designed for events such as weddings, party, etc. Wolfgang Puck Worldwide (WPW) is the brand name for bistros, cafes and small restaurants. WPW also provides house wares that include stainless steel cookware, flatware, bake wares, small kitchen electric appliances.
Puck's first restaurant was opened at sunset in 1982, serving California cuisine. Asian fusion was firstly introduced in 1983 in Chinois on Main, Santa Monica, California. Another chain, Postrio, San Francisco was opened in 1989, serving Mediterranean and Asian fusion food, an award winning chain of fifty six restaurants located in Dallas, Texas mostly serves Asian cuisines.
About Wolfgang Puck
Wolfgang Johannes Puck was born in Sankt Veit van der Glan, Austria on 8th of July 1949 and his first cooking teacher was his mother. He decided to leave his homeland and visit Monaco in Paris and started taking cooking classes from Raymond Thuilier. Later, he moved to the United States in 1973 at age 24 to become chef and finally become co-owner of Ma Maison restaurant in Los Angeles. In 2000, company was finally established and headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.
