It provides the basic services of mobile, Internet, cable television services, data services, local and international fixed telephone services, etc. It has its operating divisions located in Algeria, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Maldives and Kuwait. The consultants, contractors and suppliers are associated with the projects owned by the Wataniya Telecom. The mobile phone services was introduced by Wataniya Palestine in November, 2009. More than 50% of the shares of the company were possessed by Qatar Telecom (QTel) in March, 2007 through operating group named Kuwait Projects Company Holding KSC (KIPCO) group. Wataniya Telecom is rated and traded on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. The company received 'Honorable Mention Award' for Internet Service Provider in 2010 and 'Super Hero Award' for the best telecom operator in Kuwait. It also received 'Knowalk' award for its performance in corporate sector. Through the E-Waste campaign that is conducted by Wataniya Telecom, people can get rid of their old mobile phones and accessories. The company organizes different corporate social responsibility campaigns such as awareness programs, blood donation camps, Ramadan Iftar event, etc. The company was awarded for best practices in telecom sector with 'CommsMEA Editors 2010 Award'. More than 1,000 people are provided with employment services by the company. Wataniya Telecom was founded on 12 October 1997.
