The airline has setup its headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex, England, and was founded by Randolph Fields and Alan Hellary to Fly. Moving toward the fleet services, the airlines uses mixed fleet of Airbus. Virgin Atlantic has total 39 aircrafts under its fleet some of them are Airbus A330-300, Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 787-9 etc. Its flights are mostly operated to 34 destination including London. The airlines has code-share agreements with many airlines like Air China, Jet Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, South African Airways, Virgin America, Virgin Australia, Gulf Air, Delta Air Lines, Cyprus Airways etc. Among its major operating bases Gatwick Airport, London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport are three prominent hubs for the airline. In 2012, 5.4 million passenger used this airline, and according to passenger volume it is the seventh largest airline in the United Kingdom.
