What is Sprint Contact?

Sprint or Sprint Corporation is the Telecom company providing the wireless and Internet services in the USA and the incorporated territories such as Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands. It is the public company and is based in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. Sprint is considered as one of the largest wireless carriers in the USA and also provides its MVNO to other telecom companies. The corporation is the parent company of Boost Mobile, Assurance Wireless, and Virgin Mobile. The corporation has the strength of over 38,000 employees. Sprint is listed on NYSE under the ticker symbol S and is the constituent of S&P 500 Component.

Sprint Corporation dates back to Brown Telephone Company, founded in 1899 by Cleyson Leroy Brown. The company provided telephone services to the small town and rural areas located near Abilene. After placing the long distance infrastructure in 1900, Brown Telephone Company was incorporated in 1902. Later on, the company was merged with fourteen other companies resulted in the formation of Union Telephone and Telegraph Company. Brown Telephone company was made dominant by creation of the United Telephone Company. In 1925, C L Brown formed United Telephone and Electric (UT and E) Company as the owner of all existing subsidiaries. The Great Depression of 1928 was the financial setback to telecom service providers including UT and E. The company was dissolved in 1937 and its capital and infrastructure were transferred to form a new company, United Utilities in 1939. In 1972, United Utilities was renamed to United Telecommunications and introduced its X.25 data packages. In 1981, it took over the ISACOMM followed by US Telephone Three yeas later which built it in the long distance voice business. Its cellular services were launched in 1983. Sprint's other predecessors were SPC and Gte which merged to form GTE Sprint in 1982. GTE Sprint was acquired by United Telecom in 1989 before the full acquisition of latter in 1991. In the same year, United Telecom was renamed as Sprint Corporation.
