What is SPIPA Ahmedabad?

Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) is a government, modern training institute for conducting training programs and is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was established in the year 1962 as the Apex Training Institute of the state. The institute was given its present name in the year 1974 and was awarded the autonomous status in October 2004 under the Societies Registration Act. 1860. The SPIPA Institute provides training to the government functionaries and public servants to empower them to serve the people of the country better. The institute provides state-of-the-art training in various areas including public administration, disaster management, Rural Development and local self government. The institute is spread on more than eight-acres of land with green and spacious surroundings. The campus facilities of SPIPA include spacious lecture halls, auditorium with a seating capacity of more than two-hundred and fifty seats, hostel facilities for males and females, seminar halls equipped with multi-media facilities, administrative units, air-conditioned computer laboratories, Library stocked with more than forty-thousand books and Journals and staff quarters.
