I inherited a Quartz Cal 1345 gold plated watch from my late father. The metal reference is GD 196. 0076 and the work number is 40801628. My father use to service and change batteries at Silvaroyal, Jln Ampang which is no more. The spindle is loose, battery needs to be replaced and service is required. I took it to Swatch Grp and was informed that it must be sent back to Switzerland on my expense to be checked to obtain a quote for the repair/service cost which I am not keen. Are repairs and service done st Starhill in Malaysia and would I be able to obtain a quote if I bring the watch in?.
