I recommend you have the NFL's seasonal kickoff game be a rematch of the previous Super Bowl teams, like last night's game. First, it provides continuity between the seasons. Second, it is an easy game to get involved with, the antagonists are fresh in my mind. The Super Bowl champ should always be the home team in this perpetual rematch. They earned it. I believe there is a benefit for the two Super Bowl teams playing on the first Thursday night game: no real rush in preparing.
