What is New York State Child Support?
The child support program that provides financial assistance to the child by the parents in case of divorce, annulment, martial separation and dissolution of marriage. The organization is completely owned by the government of New York, United States. Child Support Services
The Child support program offers various services like support collection service, location investigation, cost of living adjustment, paternity establishment, support enforcement courts based & administrative process, financial investigation, medical support establishment and enforcement. The custodial parents are charged with $25 annually for the service. The Paternity Establishment law allows the unmarried parents to establish the paternity by petitioning a court to determine paternity and by signing a voluntary acknowledgement of paternity form.

The enforcement program was started in the year 1975 as Title-IV D social security Act. The law was formed for enforcement, establishment of child support and establishment of paternity. The
Child Support Enforcement program works in two laws which consist of State Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) and Local Child Support Enforcement Units (CSEU). The State Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) provides various services including operating a statewide computer system, monitoring & assessing performance levels, administering program funding, providing centralized services, issuing regulations, policies and procedures. The Local Child support Enforcement Units (CSEU) offers creating computerized case files, administering support collections, accessing information from government agencies, providing legal services, initiating location searches, issuing subpoenas for information and monitoring cases to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
