Nebraska EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) is an electronic payment system for the state-government operated welfare programs. The payment system had replaced the traditional coupon system. It is mainly used for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamp Program. SNAP is a federal aided food assistance program for low income people in the United States. The Program is also offered to pregnant ladies, less 18 aged children and people with disability. The SNAP benefits are transferred to the accounts every month. In Nebraska EBT, the state government directly transfers the benefits to the accounts of recipients.
