What is Ministry of Home Affairs?

Ministry of Home Affairs abbreviated as MHA is authorized and managed by Government of India. It is located at Cabinet Secretariat, Rasina Hill, and New Delhi. It is a largest ministry which is responsible for maintaining security and domestic issues. MHA is being leaded by the Union Minister of home affairs (Home Minister) i.e. Rajnath Singh. Home Ministry also handles the control of Civil Services which includes DANICS, Indian Police Service and DANIPS. There is legal ministerial team which consists of two ministers of state and civil servants which are assigned to manage the ministry as well as minister’s office.

There are some other ministers and senior officials which are supported by several scientific, professional and civilian advisors. The senior civil servant of the MHA is Home Secretary which handles all the MHA operations effectively as a government’s department. Other Former Ministers are Shivraj patil, Indira Gandhi, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Vallabhbhai Patel, Rajnath singh, L.K Advani, H.D. Deve Gowda, P. Chidambaram, Kailash Nath Katju and many other officials. The MHA has extended its services to Manpower and financial support in order to maintain the peace, security and harmony in a legal and effective way.
