History
The construction of the Kuwait international Airport was completed in 1927-1928. The construction work of the airport was completed by Al Hani Construction along with the Bakkast Nedam of the Netherlands. It was in the year 2001 that the parking lot of the airport was converted into a new terminal. Later, a new multi-story parking, new entrance and a mall was constructed on the airport. There are about nine million passengers, which are served by the airport in a year. In the year 2008, a new general aviation terminal was built, which is managed by the Royal Aviation. At the end of the year 2008, the name of this terminal was changed to Sheikh Saad Terminal.
