Idea Assam, is one of the branch offices of Idea Cellular Limited doing business as Idea, is an India based telecommunications services company. The company commenced its activities in the year 1995. The former name of the company was Birla Tata AT&T Limited and in 2002, it adopted the name 'Idea Cellular'. It is one of the third biggest Mobile operators in India. The company is listed on the National Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "IDEA". Idea is 49.05% owned by Aditya Birla Group, 19.96% by Axiata Group Berhad and 10.6% by Providence Equity. Its corporate office is located in Santacruz East, Mumbai, India.
