What is aufbau?
Aufbau is a Jewish monthly magazine. It is aimed at German-speaking Jews around the world. It was formed in 1934 and is published in Zürich, Switzerland. The original purpose of the Aufbau journal was to provide information and helpful facts for Jewish refugees. The journal became one of the leading anti-Nazi publications of the German press in exile (Exilpresse) in 1939 when Manfred George was nominated as the new editor. Aufbau is a member of Internationale Medienhilfe (IMH).
