Just to inform you that this is not a complaint. We have travel on Air Canada quite a few times over the years and have had no problems except the last two times we have traveled. The first problem was when we were refused boarding in Toronto on our trip from BWI to London, because our flight from BWI was late. We had to wait an extra 12 hours for the next flight and the desk clerk in Toronto told us we would just have to wait for the next flight, although our luggage was on the original flight. We were offered nothing and were told better luck next time. The second time we had problems was our last visit to see my sister. The flight over was fantastic and we enjoyed it. The flight back was a disaster, because we were to leave from Gatwick to BWI via Toronto, so we had booked a great hotel at Gatwick the night before and had a great dinner only to be told the next morning that no Air Canada flights were leaving from Gatwick, because the were not paying the airport fee's. We had to rush from Gatwick to Heathrow to catch a flight home. Wasted about $400. 00 for hotel, dinner and coach fare, because we had to quickly transfer from Gatwick to Heathrow. It was a nightmare. I must say one great thing about Air Canada, the onboard crew for all flights we have taken have been outstanding. The attention to service is second to none. I am heading to England in January, to visit my family and would really like to get a discount on Air Canadas air fare, but I would like to see if this company really values its customers by offering me a discount.
